POTM July 24

Late one again this month. Been away enjoying the nice dark skies of South Wales, no kit except the bins, I had to take the wife and kids instead🤨

 

Lets see what astro delights we had in July.

 

So to start us of for July it is the Comets, Asteroids, Meteors & Meteorites.

 

Just a selection from Astronomer reinvented this month,

On to the deep sky objects,

 

Ibbo has been very busy this month starting with M8,m20 etc - opps, an unfortunate crop.

 

Ibbo also gave us LDN 768,

 

and followed up with M16 got a bit of colour,

 

Ibbo has also been re-processing IC 1318 full reprocess

 

another from Ibbo, NGC 7000,

 

Brady gave us IC1396, welcome back.

 

and followed that up with A bit of Bubble

 

and also NGC 7331,

 

Derbyshire Dave gave us several this month starting with Draco Triplet through the C8,

 

and IC 1396 Bicolor,

 

and Elephants Trunk in SHO,

 

Bob Dobber gave us Cave Nebula WIP in SHO,

 

and Cave Nebula in SHO,

 

and followed that up with Cocoon nebula in LRGB, I've only included the updated version here.

 

Just the one from Bottletopburly this month, now, there is another updated version of this one but as the data was captured in August I've included this one.

 

And astronomer reinvented gave us Melotte 20,

Derbyshire Dave started us off with A Thin Moon,

 

Astronomer Reinvented gave us several versions of the moon, just a selection below,

Astronomer Reinvented has given us a solar image most days through July so again just a selection, you know where to find the rest.

Ibbo gave us Sol 18-7-24,

 

And Derbyshire Dave gave us Our Sun 19th July 24,

Astronomer reinvented gave us  a few reprocessed shots from previous months so I've just included the one. Reprocessed star trails,

 

Derbyshire Dave gave us Crich Stand at sunset.

 

Ibbo gave us Sunset 19-07-24,

 

 

Really hard again and I particularly like Grahams close up of the sun, but i think Bob Dobbers Cocoon nebula in LRGB takes it for July.

 

I love the way this stands out from the background stars.
