Poseidon M Pro first light

So I actually managed to hook up the Player One Poseidon M Pro up for the first time on Saturday. It's a very nicely made camera and first impressions are good. The USB C sockets with the leads supplied are solid, I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I'm all for it. Cooling seemed slow compared to my previous Altair camera so I might investigate to see if that's normal or there's a fix for it. I'm waiting on an adapter to connect the filter wheel so I used the 2 supplied M48 extension pieces which gives me 55mm back focus, very handy! I pointed the GT81 at Vega to find focus. Having removed the rotator it's further out than before, 81mm to be precise. I'll see what I can put together so it's not so far out, without adding too much weight. Once I got focused I pointed at M13. It was a bright moon so I wasn't aiming to collect loads of data, it was already way past my bedtime with my son's 1st birthday party the next day. But I got a few subs at 120s, 180s and 300s. It's a lot different to the Altair OSC. Not much need to stretch the histogram in APT to see an image. Apart from the moon the subs look ok. Very excited to get going with this. Hopefully will be posting some images in the near future!

* It also has some gain/offset presets in the driver to experiment with.
