Daunted and excited

Hi everyone,

 

I’ve luckily stumbled upon this site through the Derbyshire Astronomical site. I purchased at Sky-Watcher 130P telescope and mount earlier this year. I don’t like the mount to much so I’m looking for a new Goto. With that being said I apologise if my impending purchase ruins the wether.

The Skywatcher 'scopes are quite good. I have a 127mm Maksutov. I also have an ST80, which is a bit broken. As I have a DSLR with a zoom lens and 15x70 binoculars, it doesn't get much use anyway.

 

I'm not sure whether you can get your telescope onto a GOTO mount, as it has different fittings.

I started with a 130p too.  I would recommend getting a mount that’ll easily hold your scope.  It makes upgrading easier.

This is a good point.

 

 

However, anything that fits into the jaws of my Evolution mount should technically work as well as the 9.25" Synta SCT. Once it's been set-up with a particular scope of course.
