Despite the overpowering moon I decided to do some imaging anyway.

While I was trying to locate the Bubble Neb I came across this amazing star cluster.

Then it was on to M45 while I was waiting for M1 to clear the roof of my house.

Finally M1

Because of the moon the subs are no where near long enough but at least I got something and it is another first for me.

That amazing star cluster in your first image is M52 I think Graham. Lovely pictures. You're imaging is coming on leaps and bounds. Great stuff I love the diffraction spikes on the stars in M47 :)

Thanks Felix the quality is pretty grim on these due to the bright moon.

Eddy that M1 is 160 60 second subs at ISO 800.

The Histogram was in the centre on the red and green and over centre in the blue due to the moonlight.

Cannot wait for a dark night when I can get some 5 min subs on it.

Don't put yourself down Graham I think their quality is fantastic despite the moon. Credit where credit's due :)

Well done the moon was really bright a there was quite a bit of moisture up there later on scattering the moonlight and spoiling the histograms

I agree it looks like M52 to me

very good, just one thing, is that not M45 and not M47?

Lol! I cannot believe I missed that! I'm gonna throw up a weak defence that as I'm laying flat on my back I'm using tapatalk on my iPhone so "could have" missed that due to not seeing images at full size ;)

Thanks for the kind word folks.

M52 seems to be the general consensus of onion for the star cluster.

Felix you only missed reading it I missed it and I wrote it.

Ha ha :) I am assuming that you wrote "onion" instead of "opinion" as a deliberate gag :) lol!
