Managed to view it in my 10mm eyepiece with 3x barlow (300x), very dim Salmon pink but lots of detail in the bands.

Nice capture with Ganymede just appearing, that's what I like about Jupiter, there always seems to something happening.

Nice image Andy, I watched that last night between clouds. The spot is trucky to see this year as it is very pale, I remember seeing it for thec1st time in the late 60s through my tasco 60mm itcwas very red then you couldnt miss it.

I saw it first time in 1982 when I had my first decent scope at the age of 16. I also had a 60mm Tasco Phil and I agree it was a lot redder then it is now.
