THE OWL NEB FROM TONIGHT 23.11.2012

Recommended Posts

I decided to have a crack for the first time at this tonight.

Despite Mr Blobby doing his best to ruin things I am quite pleased with the result.

I decided to experiment with the exposure to see what difference it would make.

I used ISO 1600 instead of the normal ISO 800.

Taken with the Helios 200 Newt.

Unmodded Canon 350 D.

LP filter.

Best 100 subs from 150.

60 second subs at ISO 1600.

21 Darks.

No Flats.

Stacked in DSS and processed in PS 6.

very nice graham

Any reason you picked ISO1600?

Sheila

Thanks folks its a good start.

Sheila I tried ISO 1600 to shorten the sub length to try and combat the effects from Mr Blobby.

The target was only just above my roof line and I was getting a lot of reflected light off the roof.
