If it works for you, then it isn't crude, simple is great for not raising the blood pressure.

I like it, i had the same scope and it gave some really nice views, epecially widefield. I only sold it to get something bigger but if i am honest i still miss it.

Yeah i love it its a nice little frac gonna save up for a goto system this year and maybe get a fringe killer

You have a very similar setup to mine (ST102, motorised CG5). Can I ask you whether you bought the scope rings and dovetail to fit the OTA onto the mount as my ST102 came with a short fixed dovetail bar for an AZ goto mount and I'm having problems balancing as there's only one fixed central position that the scope will fit onto the mount.
