Guest Steve Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Hi, has anyone got any Silverstone experience and tips for an F1 weekend? Myself and missus haven't missed a Grand Prix on the telly for 30 years or so, but have never been to a live race. We are thinking about it this year as a 25 wedding anniversary treat but as total newbies would appreciate any advice! i.e. where to stay, best stands and packges, any 'must-have' extras,etc. We are happy to camp!!! +RonC Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 There are 3 extra large camp sites that open just for the Grand Prix, I'm afraid I don't have any info on them so you will have to track them down yourself! BAZ Posted January 13, 2013 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Our neighbours booked through a coach company, with tickets, practice day, a night in a hotel, and then back for race day. This package cost less than if they had booked tickets themselves. The hotel was a bit run down, but has to be more comfortable than camping.
