I had a sudden dash out a couple of nights ago...the clouds seperated and the sky sparkled!!!


camera, tripod a decent coat and faithful torch and off I sped !!!!


 


Were to go? hmmmm I wasnt to realise how much light pollution there is out there until i reviewed the pics in photoshop...DAMN !!


 


Here's the only one worth viewing. I think I have named the stars correctly


 


Taken at about 10pm on the 12/01/2013


 


camera :- Nikon D3


lens :- Nikon 16 - 35 F4 @ 16mm F5.6


ISO :- 800


Exposure :- 20 secs

That looks really nice.


We aren't used to looking at photos with trees and clouds also in view, but it certainly adds an extra interesting dimension to the picture.
