Snow socks

Hi - just thought I'd post on my experience with car Snow Socks.

I brought a pair from Halfords and collected on Friday just before heading off to the Malverns for a weekend away. Staying on an isolated farm the track back up to the road proved impossible for normal front-wheel cars, but with these on I just drove straight up. I was unbelievably chuffed!   B)

You slip them over the top of the tyre as much as you can - you get long plastic gloves to keep you clean, (although you still get cold fingers!) - and then drive forward a couple of feet so you can slip over the rest.

They pack away to practically nothing so will live in my boot until the next time I get stuck.

They are legal to use in the French Alps as an alternative to chains, so must have been tested quite A worthwhile investment!

They look an affordable option Steve.

I might have a look at some of them, our road didn't get gritted until Sunday night, and was like a skating rink.
