There will be some downtime this weekend to apply the latest release of the forum software.

 

This release addresses issues with the editor which some of our more experienced forum users may have encountered (mainly quoting problems!).

I've noticed that formating goes mams up in the quick reply box. ie if you type loads and hit return it doesn't post the line break, if that makes sense?

 

If this line immediately follows the end of the previous one you will see what I mean, if not it was a glitch so feel free to shoe me.

I think it was a glitch but when I put a link in and the pressed return like this http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk

 

It didn't give a line break....

The skin still requires an update as well, so it might be that. The editor part has been improved, but the current skin doesn't take advantage of the improvements.

I found this problem. But only when posting on my phone.

Any chance of expanding some of the sections......?

 

ie The Equipment section ?

 

( like on the CN forum ) Instead of having 'Telescopes / Complete set-up's',  as this is such a big topic how about splitting it, and having a Refractor section, a Reflector section, a Dob section, a Cadadioptric section for SCTs and Maks etc ?

 

Also how about a section for Bino-viewing ?

Thanks for the suggestions Rob - they've been noted and will be discussed. I'm not sure if we have enough member activity to support those extra sections right now - but certainly worth considering either now or in the future. Good ideas though.
