Leo Trip from last night 16.02.2013

Graham

Recommended Posts

After running out of sky on M42 I decided to have another go at the Leo Trip.

By the time I got around to this target the 'seeing' was pretty poor to say the least.

A lot of high cloud mixed with tons of moisture.

Helios 200 Newt.

Cannon 350 D modded.

21 x 3 mins subs at ISO 800

5 Darks

21 Flats

Stacked in DSS

Light process in PS 6.

Thanks Pat.

Kind words indeed, I just figure that if its clear enough to see the stars then its worth trying to capture them.

The results are no where near to what most folks post on here but I am happy with the results and in time and with a lot more practice hopefully they will improve in quality.

Thank you folks.

I will have another go at this one on a decent night to see if I can improve on it.

Nice one Graham, well done.

I see this horizontal banding appearing from time to time on my images too, so far I think it is pushing the Histogram stretches a bit too far.
