A lot of high hazy cloud tonight but took the scope out anyway. I was watching this visually tonight and it looked great. Managed to see Io as it started to cross the disc if Jupiter through the dob. Then later on the shadow, a lovely inky black dot crossing the disc.

Anyway, 8 inch Helios newt, spc90, 3x televue barlow, approx 1000 frames stacked and wavelets done in registax 6.

Fantastic shots mark, love that you have caught the GRS. I watched the transit and then decided to image it also with the webcam. i did not see the GRS transit though-what time did that occur? Wish I had stayed out a bit longer now! But as you say lots of hazy clud around. I did a couple of jupiter avis and a couple of moon ones.

Hey Mark, just looked at my images and have caught the GRS too but is harder to make out as using a 2 x powermate and my images not as good as yours :)

Thanks folks, i cannot grumble though, it was nice to be able to get something and it looked better visually.
