Easy that one, how many of you remember the intermissions on sundays when there were no broadcasts during the day then they would show the potters wheel or furry kittens, now thats nostalgia :-)

I remember the national anthem followed by the dot and beeeeeeeeeep ..... in black and white - the beep always woke me up in time to go to sleep lol :)

I remember when there were just three channels on the old black and white TV, and the remote was my Dad.


ATV, that was proper telly!


Nowt like a bit of nostalgia! Good find.

They call me Fireball XL5 at work cos I'm the eldest in the office. Bring back Zoonie, Muffin the Mule, and Four Feather Falls I say lol :)

Does anyone remember trade test transmissions on BBC2 before it had proper program's? They were short films on all sorts of different subjects that came on about once an hour.

Yes, they used to be on in the afternoons, if I remember correctly. Used to catch them when I came home from school. C4 did a similar thing on launch called "The Art of Landscape".
