I saw the 2004 one - projected on white card with binocs strapped to a chair back lol - it was really quite awsome - worth getting up for the last 50 mins if you can rise early :)

yes it is visible from Europe except parts of Spain a portugal ! I'm thinking of watching it (weather permitting) from the beach we are north east facing so should get a great unobstructed view from there. I will pop down a few days before to make sure the sun is where I think it will be.
