I need a low profile version of this 2" to ?? (M48?)?

What is the flange end fitting called please, it fits directly into the focusing tube on the Dob?

Cheers

Ron

Skywatcher usually supply one exactly like you're after with the scope? I presume you mean a T2 thread on the end yes? Usually the 1.25" EP holder screws into it and it has T2 thread on the outside. I'd be surprised if nobody has one lying about. Or are you looking to screw a filter inside too? In which case you are looking for the holy grail as everybody wants one but nobody makes them.

No Mike, want a low profile one so I can get my filter wheel + ep to focus!

It's opposite end to the T2 , has it got a name or size?

Hi Ron - If you draw a blank with FLO try Bern at Modern Astronomy - he's bound to have one or will know where you can get one. My filter wheel has the nose piece cut short to enable focus (though it's a tad dodgy on grip) - but that's how it came s/h. I've not seen the adaptor you're after - can't get on Mod Astro website at the moment - but I'm sure Bern will be able to help. :)

Hi Ron.

The reversed chamfer end doesn't have a name as far as I know.

It is just a method used to ensure the EP adapter is pulled into the focus tube square when you do the grub screws up.

If you can let me have some photos and dimensions of the adapter and the filter wheel I may well have something here that will solve your problem.

Your filter wheel's nose piece may well unscrew if this is the case there is nothing stopping you adapting this ep holder by cutting it down and cutting a thread on it. :)

Thanks Graham but Kim's idea to try 'Modern Astronomy' worked, just ordered the bit I need from them!

Will look at the filter wheels nose piece when I've got the adaptor.

Thanks

Graham
