I have always fancied having a play with one of these, they have good reviews and some folks have used them to good effect on astro. Got it focusing to infinity with the 1000D (this is the easiest lens I have come across to adjust focus reach). Tested on clouds at the horizon and nice and sharp with a bit more left for astro infinity focus. I had a massive Pentacon 300mm F4 a few years ago which I intended to do this with but it just would not reach astro infinity without a complete strip down.
