M45 with a DSLR

Recommended Posts

This is a combination of 24 subs with an unmodified DSLR.

Sub exposures 240s iso 5000. Shot as camera RAW files. These were combined in AA5 with initial DDP and levels before converting to 16 bit tiff files and completing in PS CS3.

Hope you like

very nice indeed,

i had a go at this at Kelling but out of 10 x 300 seconds shots only 5 were any good, i caught a light bit of cloud on the other 5 and all the bright stars looked like they had a massive halo around them and no nebulosity.
