Funny you should mention Horizon, they did a program back in the late seventies or early eighties about Phages, and how the Russians had discovered their remarkable bacterial killing properties. Since then.....nothing, until today, when suddenly they have been discovered again.

Yes I remember that program about the Russians & Phages, they were already well into it because they didn't have access to antibiotics from the Western drug companies (at the time).

It'll be on again Tom, add to the list of repeats -- at least no ads.


 


Martyn, they did not really have to look far for phages or their properties, sea water, soil and the gut!  where most of the bacteria have phages...Spent a number of years at Thames, before funnily going for an interview at Tom's (Keltec).
