philjay Posted October 20, 2013 Author Share Posted October 20, 2013 Yep it certainly does, When I 1st started on this I didn't notice the small craterlets top right then gradually at times of steady seeing they would pop into view. Just sticking my eye to the ep for 10 seconds then moving on I would have missed those. I started doing sketches when I was a lad, no such thing as astro photography for me in the 60s early 70s. Havent really done much since so very rusty but I intend to give it a few more goes I enjoy the challenge. Sketching is just another aspect of Astronomy for me. I'm afraid there's too much interesting stuff in this lark for me to specialise in just one aspect like imaging, sketching , planets, lunar. Then there is the time time to fit it all in along with working around the weather. Oh yes, as well as working around work.. You do a pretty good job at it though from what I've seen.
