Bright Meteor seen 2nd January 2014

I saw a bright meteor at 4:30 pm yesterday evening (2nd January) while driving south on the A6 through Duffield. It was moving from east to west about 40 degrees in altitude and the path sloping down to the west. Based on the time and position it was probably moving through or near Pisces. It was against the twilight sky and the meteor was orange in colour. I estimate the magnitude at around -5.  It was unusual in the sense I picked it up against the twilight sky (and while driving)! It's quite possible it was a Quadrantid but it may just have been a sporadic.
