Mobile Obsey

Allan the Plumber

Recommended Posts

Well not quiet an Obsey but working on a few mods to go with the new battery boxes to enable me to get to dark sites and work in the warmth of my van.

Couple of photos of drop down table I threw together Friday had a cut out of a kitchen worktop that I plumbed in a sink and a few noggins of wood and screwed it into the ply lining of the van,  all I need now (apart from clear nights) is a small heater and a  way for the active USB cable to exit the van safely without the chance of trip hazards

I just wish my woodworking skills were anywhere near as good, that's why my obsy is being built for me, if I'd built it myself my back garden would have more wood offcuts than the local timber merchants yards!  Even measure twice cut once doesn't work.

Though the current weather would probably made shed construction outside of the shed very difficult.  Nice job Allan.

Very neat solution Allen, you'll be fitting a sink next ;-)

You jest Cazz but while looking at a heater issue I did come across a sink that can be fitted and removed with its own internal water reservoir (waste you let pour through tube out of van) maybe an option can't wait to get my bigger van in October be able to fit in camp bed too :D

You say that Rob had an idea originally posted about "night vision cameras" all you really need is an infrared camera with usb connector and a way to remote view working on that too here's the start B)

Ours sink set up is like that :-/

There are several removable kitchen units about to get ideas from when you're ready. Devon used to do a swing out cooker unit, so you could use it inside or outside the van.

It's as addictive and varied as astro lol.
