Noooo, pulse guiding over EQDir cable ... one less cable to worry about :D

does anyone use st4 ports anymore ?


as Stephen says above, pulse guiding with eqdir cable so easy, even i can do it so it must be.

i`m using the  Atik artimis capture software or i have apt also,

I don't think you can do it in Artemis I'm afraid.

 

However in APT if you capture the image then go to the Tools tab and click Histograms .... you're looking for the peak of the graph to be about 1/2 to 2/3 the way along from left to right

 

All you're really trying to do here is see if the defect is visible in the flat ... I'm assuming if the camera's been brought in / warmed up since then it will probably have gone away :o

i`ve tried a few flats as best i could get my head round them and the image looks a uniform white or white ish colour across the image,


fingers crossed it was just a temp little problem , me rushing home late on a cold night, firing the system up and imaging straight away without letting the kit acclimatise properly.
