Craig Posted February 8, 2012 Share Posted February 8, 2012 For newer members who may not know, we've got a member map on which you can place your "marker" to show other members whereabouts you live. You should only use a general location and not place the marker over your actual house. http://www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk/membermap/ This is great for knowing which members are local to you if you wish to meet up for observing sessions (or set up a local society!) or a chat over a cuppa. This is only visible to registered members who have successfully validated their own accounts. Naturally, if you do decide to meet others for some observing you should always exercise caution (go with friends, make sure people know where you are going, etc).
