This was built from the last of the frames I took on the 7th, (see other thread), conditions were very poor by the time I took these frames, there was a lot of mist and cloud at this point.


 


This is more a test for building mosaic from 8 frames.


 


Same as before mosaic of 8 panes, PIPP, AS2, Registax, then mosaicked manually in PS7.


 


Its a bit blown out on some of the sunlit craters but that's a product of processing washed out panes. Still I enjoyed doing it.

Like the other image; smashing.

It has loads of detail, as though it's been imaged by a lunar orbiting satellite.

Thanks folks. I really regretted selling my 127 mak the other year and Im pleased to say this scope hasnt dissappointed. Im still a refractor man but theres always a place for a mak
