Constellation shots pruned

I have cleaned up my Photobucket Constellation album, so that only this year's and last year's photos are left:

The older ones, I have revisited and I have reprocessed some of them and made them into a video playlist on YouTube:

This also includes last year's, as I may need to delete last year's photos if I run out of space on Photobucket again.

At the risk of trumpet-blowing, I was surprised at how many stars I could capture from a suburban location using nothing more than a compact digital camera at 8 seconds' exposure. It was even more surprising that many stars were present in the old shots and could be brought out using GIMP. I'm now using an "antique" DSLR but think I have only scratched the surface of what might be possible with my equipment.
