I know we only get the last hour or so of the Venus Transit of the Sun but I'm keen on getting up at the crack of dawn to witness this rare astro event.

Is it possible to safely view this with through my 127 Mak with the right safety filters?

If so, where do I start?

You will need a solar filter either home made or bought from a shop similar to this one.

Also remember to get one for your finder or if you don't use your finder remove it from your scope.
