Insignificant or proud to be one of our species?

Both.

. We are all significant and capable of great things, but in the context of the Universe we are but a tiny fraction of matter on a slightly larger lump of matter, orbiting a bit bigger lump of matter ad infinium.

We shouldn't belittle ourselves too much in the context of the Universe, even though in physical terms and size, we are so very very  small.

But as previously mentioned we do have our intellect, our brain, which is as wonderous as anything else in this vastness, so not so tiny after all?

Even more wonderous surely,  as everything out there is but only mass, energy and distance, albeit vast,  but our intellect/brain is something glorious, and truly gob struck, flabbergasting, amazing. :)
