Mars, Saturn, and Venus

Mars, Saturn, and Venus are looking nice in the morning sky again. But Saturn and Mars are shifting across the sky pretty quick. One degree per minute goes very quickly between 4:30am and 6:00am and there's not a lot of ecliptic left before sunrise. None of this long, high, lingering like Jupiter overnight. Just thought I'd mention it. :)

Drat - Missed it - Went back to bed at 4.00am after a quick look at Mars.

Should have waited for the rest of the show to come from behind the big Scots Pine  :(

Guest Libby's

This thread makes me jealous! The presence of a small child in my bed and the early starts of motherhood mean getting up in the middle of the night to observe is impossible. Looking forward to their return to the evening sky.

Very much enjoying Jupiter though and that more than makes up for it for me. :)

I did see Mars come up over the church roof about 12 ish, thought about the scope but there was a lot of twinkling going on and bed was calling. Maybe tonight if it's clear.
