What is the website where you can upload an image and it tells you what bit of the sky it is?

Thanks.

Thank you all. Yes, Daz's site did it, and I didn't need to register.

Cheers.

I use astrotortilla. Its a free, stand alone plate solver. With your dodgy internet connection it would be perfect. You'd be able to use it in the garden without any connection at all. You can set it to take a picture via, for example "astrophotography tool" (there are lots of options for the photo including a file on your drive) and then sync and realign your scope with CdC (and I would iamgine stellarium too but I haven't tried that). It's really great as you don't have to do anything manually. You just hit go and it makes sure you are pointing exactly where you think you are.  If you like I will come over and help you set it up. Perhaps we could write a tutorial as we set it up in case anyone else wants to have a go. It was a minor piggy to get going but nothing that isn't simple once you know the trick. (certainly much easier than I expected which was a pleasant surprise!) I'm soooooo glad I put in the effort. Its free to use other than the download time and some minor tinkering.
