I think with a Coronado PST if I remember correctly from previous posts, I think he's also written a book on the subject ??

How are you capturing your hydrogen alpha solar images?

To be honest, with difficulty. One of the disadvantages of the PST is that it has a limited focus travel, so not all techniques work. I used to use my wife's old compact digital camera afocally but it packed up. Shame as it was very red sensitive. I'm using a DSLR afocally instead and finding it hard.

Ah! That explains it.

I don't know these solar scopes, but there must be a way to get the dslr at the prime-focus equivalent. Ask Ibbo.
