This is one of my fave deep sky objects and is usually overlooked in favour of M34, the double cluster and many other nearby ones.

Now I have a T-ring and T-mount, there's a lot more I can do and I'm hoping for some clear weather to try out other targets.

Cool. What set up and settings did you use? Are you on an equatorial mount?

It is an ST80 on an EQ1 but not with a motor drive. I took several 3.2 second exposures at ISO 3200 at prime focus. I also wedged the camera with a 2nd tripod to add stability. I'd imaged it before with a compact digital camera but this is my best result so far.
