glider Posted March 8, 2014 Share Posted March 8, 2014 The Residents Committee for the park at the bottom of our garden organised a Stargazing Event for National Astronomy Week tonight. I counted 12 people present at it's peak. Pete the organiser had a SW 130 reflector on a tripod and gave us views of; The Moon, Jupiter and its moons, M45, Orion Nebula. We all got a laminated hand out showing us where to look and a hand out from Dark Site Discovery. A very enjoyable hour or 2 with my neighbours.
