Skytracker V2 a 600mm Sigma mirror lens & M51...

Well very tongue in cheek with this image. I have grey scaled and reversed it as the background was really blotchy. The lens (600mm Sigma mirror lens was from a car boot sale not sure how long ago. I put my Canon 450D on and started everything going. I kept the subs quite short at 60s each and ramped the iso to 1600 to compensate
Cloud cover was sporadic during this test so some of the subs were less than perfect (wrong - all the subs were less than perfect) just some were worse than others. ;)
Full frame image no crop, flats, darks, bias etc...

Thanks Felix - shot through thin high cloud with some thicker bits - must get back to some more serious imaging (but have fun at the same time :) )


 


Also added an M57 image from the same night conditions etc 25x60s subs.
