Hello all,



IDAS will once again be holding an open day and solar observing (cloud permitting) event at the Visitors Centre at Shipley Park (Slack Lane, Heanor, Derbyshire) from 10:30am on Saturday July 26th.  Please feel free to drop by and say hi.   Besides the solar observing we’ll have a display of member’s photographs and drawings, along with a few automated PowerPoint presentations.

I popped up to see the IDAS guy's and had an enjoyable chat with them.

The Sun is a bit quiet at the moment, but there is one biggish spot with some nice detail visible.


Thanks guy's, always a good excuse to get a bacon butty as well. I hope the rest of the day goes well for you.
