The Lunar X (the Purbach or Werner Cross), an X-shaped clair-obscure illumination effect involving various rims and ridges between the craters La Caille, Blanchinus, and Purbach happens this month on the Wed 29th Feb, best time to see this is early evening about 19.30.

If you have never seen this before it is well worth seeing, a unique feature that really resembles a cross formation, quite stunning in appearence.
