You may need to order  a USB3 ext lead Steven, I did! The supplied one is only 3' long.

Belkin USB 3.0 A/B Cable 10ft

Do you not need an active USB cable at that length!!??

You may not need an "active usb cable" if your hub is an active hub which most self powered usb hubs are (repeaters really). They both do the same thing boost/repeat signals.

its ok Ron, I made an extention cable awhile back from

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-New-USB-over-RJ45-cat5e-5e-cat6-cable-extension-extender-cable-adapter-/151401730698?pt=UK_Computing_USB_Cables&hash=item23403f128a

and some CAT 6 cable,

Works fine on the DSLR to BYEOS so no reason it shouldn't be OK with the HUB.

Ron is 100% correct on type B connectors they have the micro usb end

like this

Stevens is using "Baluns" to use Ethernet cabling - ok but does introduce noise and lowers signal BUT if they work great.

Note this on interference of wireless and usb 3

I need 2x12v suppies to the mount, one for the mount power and one for the hub. Is it possible to get a power spitter just using the 12v conectors already fitted?

Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/180715303721?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108
