Polar scope illumination

hi I have a skywatcher eq3-2mount but it has no back light so when I try to

Polar align using the Polar scope it is impossible to see anything on the reticule because it is dark, so, I went to Maplins to purchase some items but they were out of stock of a couple of things, as I know nothing of electrics or circuits I went to leave the store but on the counter was a very small wind up torch for £3 so I got one. When I got home I painted the LEDs red using nail varnish then I cut a piece of wood about half inch long and at about 45 degrees and fixed them onto the appropriate place on the scope using Velcro and last night I tried Polar alignment and everything worked well. If I knew how to post a pic on here I would.

Hi I've been looking for over an hour but still I cannot find the icons mentioned. I am using my iPad Air and when I open the photos icon and select the pic I would like to upload there is no share icon nor is there a pin icon. What am I missing as I see someone else has managed it?

I gather that Apple and some Android devices don't allow these extra features.

Should be OK if you use a PC.

Hi Melvin, shining a red torch across the top of the polr scope hole has always been my way of doing it. I find the built in illuminators on some mounts too bright even on the dimmest setting
