This one is similarly scary. The stuff of nightmares.

The blokes an idiot, problem is he might be very good at this, but there will be a lot of kids who look up to him, who are not very good at this.

He is an adrenaline  Junky. The guys who built the Empire State building had to do it to live.

The old steeple jacks were far braver as they had no safety even getting to the top.

Its ok but if he fell off and you were the poor s** he hit on the ground.

Let him do free (rock) climbing to get his adrenaline fix but not buildings etc in built up area's - a no go.

Sorry he is a moron in my book.

There is a total contrast to the way the professionals do it these days. This video shows the meticulous care taken by the people who really know what they are doing. They don't leave anything to chance, being attached by several ropes, and making sure that cameras or other small items cannot fall. I would like to try and be an adrenaline junky if the guys in this video were taking care of me, but not sure I'd have the bottle to be hanging off the side of the lightning rod nearly a kilometre up the Burj Khalifa :o ...

"have the bottle " I get dizzy going up Lincoln Castle tower.  :D Did climb Stanage Edge a long time ago when a bit lighter and fitter.

One of my best friends is an ex climber and the other day he was saying that in the early days in the Alps the Brits used to take out all the expensive kit (baleys, carabiners etc) that the other countries climbers left behind because most couldn't afford it plus it spoiled the climb - then the Italians came up with a portable rock bolt gun - he then gave up the Alps.
