lets hope tonight,there could be a clear night for viewing,,this would be my first time looking at the night sky,,,any suggestions as to a good viewing,of planets or stars

With a full Moon it's not the best time to see feint 'fuzzies' so try the easier targets. The Moon, M31 the Andromeda galaxy, M45 the Pliades, M42 the Orion nebula  then enjoy just observing whatever you can see best and good luck tonight! Wrap up warm, it's going to be chilly!!

A couple of double stars, Albireo in Cygnus and then compare it with gamma Andromeda, Almaak. The bright moon wont affect viewing these much. Oh and Jupiter.
