What a pair

They are from the Bolton Astro Soc. Gerald is the guy in the blue jumper. The binoculars are superb, with around 1500 hrs of work going into them, unfortunately, I didn't get a look through them, as they nearly always had a queue.

They made a couple of sets of 8" one's but had real problems getting them to collimate correctly, so settled on 6", which are apparently easier to work with.

It's worth a look round their website, they have a good selection of homemade projects and they are a nice bunch as well.

Hi Martyn, hope you're well. Just wondering if you know whether these guys are regular visitors to kelling please ? I'd love to get a look through those things.

Again they really are something special. Didn't get to look through them but had a good look over them in the day time. You can tell it's a real passion for him when you talk to him about them. He's been there past two years.

Tried to make a big pair of binos from a pair of ar127l fracs.... Gave up when the gimble to join the optical paths was £2k!!!

That setup looks amazing.
