I have a pair of celestron 15 x 70 bins, well did have til wednesday night. Anyway looking for a comet think its gerradd ? I twisted the focuser on my right eyecup and the whole thing sheared off in my hand. BUM ! Its not fixable the plastic has snapped. I really didn't want to have to buy another pair.

Gutted - looks like a new pair then, can you not get spare parts and replace the broken bit? (I must admit I have never owned a pair so have no idea if that is possible.)

How old are they, can you not take / send them back for replacement maybe? If under a year old I would suspect you would have a case for "unfit for purpose"

Personally I would use Araldite, I find it more reliable than Super glue, if you can stick it back to exactly where it sheared off from, it should hold, and still work if you are not over generous with the glue.

Before you glue it, I would see what caused it to shear and break, just so it doesn't fail again.
