Well after all the grief I have been getting with capture software and the QHY 5ll I bit the bullet and scrapped all of them.

I then loaded up Sharpcap 2.5 and the dot net thingy to make it work.

After all that I just had to try it out.

Taken with the 10 inch Meade

Antaries 5x Barlow

QHY 5 ll

I could only manage to grab 166 frames between the clouds but hey ho it was only a test.

I have still to mount my motorised focuser on the Meade so focus was achieved by going out into the obs tweaking the focuser going back into the control room to look then back for another tweak ----- well you get the idea   :screwloose:  :facepalm2:

It was nearly in focus

Just got to get to grips with the controls in Sharpcap and I might just start to get somewhere.

Looking good. I went back to Sharpcap2 as firecapture was really slow with my Asi120mc camera.

Not tried sharpcap yet but have been having a play with EZplanetary that came with the QHY. Was reasonably happy with it. Slow frame rate though. I will try at sharpcap2... forgot I had it installed! :facepalm2:  :)

Nice one Graham, manual focus is frustrating isn't it?! My Motofocus should arrive in the next week, I cannot wait for that!
