Smashing report Mark - I particularly like the description of the different views in the 925 sct and the 12" dob. That's exactly what it's like and is a question often asked by newbies considering their first upgrade. So - that's well answered.

Looking through each others scopes and doing comparisons is very useful and of course loads of fun. How many turned up? :)

There were around 14 of us night. Some had been before and others were first timers. Really enjoyable evening and had a good chat with folks, even got chatting to a few of the passing birdwatchers and compared notes etc.

I really enjoy our meetings as the company is alway good and i think we are are very fortunate to have such a great  venue for our meetings.

Good report Mark (as usual!), nobody told me the rail crossing was closed last night, 10 mile detour up the A16/52 to get home! never mind, a good, enjoyable night!!

Another enjoyable evening catching up with everyone and meeeting new members. Even though we were fighting against the clouds, we managed to see quite a few objects and some new sights for myself, thanks to Mark and Paul for the views though their scopes.

The notable point of my evening was seeing Io transit across the dark belt of Jupiter on Marks Dob. I managed to get a few shots of ELAC and posted them in my album.

See you all next month, and clear skys for next weekend. :)
