Very late this year, but spectacular while it lasted. Never seen it so good in the 10 years we've lived here.

Not an easy shot at 5 o'clock in the evening ;  plenty of traffic, kids, dogs, joggers etc etc.... :lol:

The blossom seems to be staying on the trees much longer than usual this year.

Have you noticed that when a tree has horizontal branches it puts on more girth on the branch vertically than it does horizontally,


to take the downward thrust ?  Just like a lintel.  


Ain't trees clever. :)

Very pretty.

Our neighbours have some and we get blossom drifts around the doors and a flurry into the garage when we open the garage door.
