I'm selling my AZEQ6GT because of the weight and am looking for an Altaz replacement to take a C925.  Anyone got any experience with either an i optron Mini Tower or the Mini Tower Pro?

The weight limit for the mini tower is 25lb your C9.25 weighs 9kg so about 20lb then include your eyepiece, finder, dew heaters, dew shield, diagonal etc so you are pushing the limit.

Don't really know much about iOptron, but as Doc said, think you'll be pushing your luck with a 9.25

Maybe a C8 is doable, but I'm doubting a 9.25

With a 9.25 there's not many powered alt-az options......?

I had the same issue last year. I sold my AZEQ6, but went for a non motorised alt-az

Delighted with my DM6. It easily handles my refractor (also 9kg) and is even rated to take a C11.

You could check out the new SW AZEQ5 which is a bit lighter than the 6. It takes a 15kg payload.

I have the Mini Tower Pro and it's quite a beefy mount. I'm also looking at the AZEQ6GT for driving a 10" Newt
