Easy GOTO/Stellarium alignment

I only have a Canon DSLR on a EQ3 pro GOTO mount now controlled by Stellarium.

Here's my quick way of alignment I use without having to start at Polaris, which my wall mounted rig cannot see,

but is Polar aligned.

Start synscan GOTO.

Start Stellarium.

Release both cluches on the mount.

Pick a position on Stellarium at 180 degree Az /45 degreess Alt.

Hit CNTL+1 on laptop and mount motors will slew as the Stellarium scope icon moves to 180/45.

When at that position move mount's RA axis to 180 degree Az which is easy to do as it's North/South.

Lock RA axis clutch.

Using a wixey, set DEC to 30 degrees.

Lock DEC clutch.

.......................Job done. :)

The way I do it is to pick a star I know how to find, use that on the goto, let it slew then release the clutches, manually align it then do clutches back up. Fine adjust with the hand set or slew buttons on the EQmod and hit sync. Job done. It's close enough for most things.
