I have been asked to do the machining for a guy who is going make a bespoke telescope. It will end up hopefully as a truss type 12 inch Newtonian built entirely from Aircraft grade Aluminium and Carbon Fibre. Today I cut the main rings on the water jet from 3 mm steel sheet so they can be checked and amended if needed before I get into cutting up some rather expensive Aluminium plates. Top Ring.
