Luna shot from tonight 25.06.2015

Tonight I decided to try something a little different.

So I set up the 10 inch Meade stuck my old Canon 350 D onto the focuser just to see what would happen.

After a lot of playing with the focus I finally managed to get the Moon in the frame.

More playing with the focusing and I managed to get somewhere near where it needed to be.

This is a 3 panel mosaic stitched together in ICE.

Each panel is 11 frames of 320/second at ISO 200

Stacked in Registax 3

After stacking each panel was cropped to remove the edges in PS 6.

The 3 panels were then stitched together.

The resulting mosaic was then put back into PS 6 for a bit of spit and polish.

I also converted it to mono and reduced its size by half as it was huge.
