Also liked Rama books. Hoping that the rumors are correct and the film is being made.

The Rama film has been sitting in development hell for about 15 years now. Morgan Freeman holds the rights through his company Revelations Entertainment and was planning on playing the role of Norton. David Fincher had been attached to direct back in about 2007. There was a page on Revelations site with concept art, but even that's disappeared now. This may be the closest thing we ever get...

That is annoyingly tempting. RWR is one of my fave ACC books, not so much Rama 2 or the 2001 sequels (and don't get me started on 2010 the movie!).

There was an article on IMDB around 2 months ago saying that Rama was in development.... and like Alan has said

We watched Jupiter Rising last night in 3D/Atmos - totally naff story line but loads of action - and the visuals and sound effects are simply stunning.

Gave the new system a real work out - totally recommended. :)

I like the Alien films, 1 & 2 being my favourites, three sucked, but wasn't true to the book and it would have been up there with the others if it hadn't had a budget of £4.62. I mean, other than Sigorney, there was Brian Glover and Pete Postlethwaite, then a bunch of extra's who looked liked they had been dragged out of a supermarket queue. "Ayup Alien, pack it up or you'll get battered".

Anyway, I didn't mind Prometheus, allegedly there's a new one on the way called confusingly Alien: Covenant. I think Ridley Scott is back in charge of that one as well.
